Steady Bulldogs pull away from Central late
Adams Centralâ€™s potpourri offense was unable to keep pace with the steady output of New Havenâ€™s Kiersten Perkins Tuesday night and the Lady Jets lost 46-33 at home as a result.
The Jets (2-6) would see one player warm up for a brief period, then another would pick up the slack after that, but it wasnâ€™t consistent enough to keep pace with Perkins and her low post sidekick Kayla Fendel.
Perkins scored seven first quarter points to help New Haven (4-5) jump out to a 15-9 lead early, and she buried a 3-pointer during a 12-6 second quarter run for the Bulldogs as they went ahead 27-15 by halftime.
