Trojans come as advertised
They rolled into Berne with one of the top defensive units in the state, and Tri-Central did nothing to alter that notion as it derailed South Adams’ post-season run with a 28-7 victory in the Class A football regional at Starfire Field.
The Trojans (12-1) held South Adams to just 153 total yards and one first half score to advance in tournament play. Tri-Central will travel to Winamac Friday night to face the 13-0 Warriors.
South Adams managed just one scoring drive in the contest, and that came after an opportune turnover by the Trojans set the Starfires up with a very short field.
