Waugh helps Calvin to MIAA title

Erika Waugh, a 2011 graduate of South Adams High School, scored two wins and helped Calvin College win the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association swim meet last weekend at the Holland Community Aquatic Center. Calvin scored 803.5 points, 143.5 more than second place Hope.
Individually, Waugh won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:06.42, setting a new Calvin record in the event, and just missed breaking the MIAA meet record of 2:06.25. The win in the backstroke earned Waugh All-MIAA honors, and met the NCAA D-III B cut.
Waugh joined with teammates Rachel Colasurdo, Stephie Fox, and Elizabeth Counsell to win the 200-yard medley relay for Calvin in 1:48.18.
