Adams County Prosecutor Christopher Harvey announced on Tuesday that three men have been arrested and charged with armed robbery, a Class B felony, in connection with the Saturday evening armed robbery at Johnson’s Junction convenience store.
The three men who have been arrested and charged are Daryl D. Cornett, age 24, Decatur; Dakota A. Weiland, age 20, Decatur; and Ryan A. Little, age 23, Decatur.
“Thanks to the hard work of detective Jim Newbold of the Berne Police Department and Detective Gary Burkhart of the Adams County Sheriff Department, along with other offices of the Berne and Decatur Police Departments and Adams County Sheriff Department, the arrests were made quickly,” said Harvey.
Harvey noted that all three men are in the Adams County Law Enforcement Center and will have initial hearings soon.
“The charges filed against the three men are merely accusations and all three men are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty,” added Harvey.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken and no injuries were reported, according to information initially supplied by the Berne Police Department.
The station is located at 725 N. U.S. Highway 27.
