Jeannette Yoder

Jeannette L. Yoder, 93, of Berne passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on Aug. 26, 1930, in Adams County to Lewis and Sadie (Biberstine) Strahm. She was married Nov. 30, 1952, to Kenneth E. Yoder.
She was a lifelong member of the Berne Evangelical Church. She was employed at Berne Hardware for several years and was a homemaker for over 60 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved playing games and doing puzzles with family.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer L. Grigson of McKinney, Texas; son, Jay Yoder of Independence, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Heidi Skelton; Holly Grigson; Travis Grigson; Michael (Larina) Yoder; and Aaron (Chrissy) Yoder; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 18, 2014; three brothers, Lester Strahm; Alvin Strahm; and Roger Strahm; and a sister, Florine (Strahm) Edwards.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26 for one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service at the Swiss Village Chapel in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Wertenberger. Burial will be at Berne Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Swiss Village Samaritan Fund.
