Robert Mohler

Robert “Bob” Mohler, 72, of Bluffton passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his residence. He was born on November 4, 1943 in Bluffton to William E. and Betty J. (Houdyshell) Mohler. He was married on November 21, 1964 in Bluffton to Kay F. Stout.

He was a 1962 graduate of Bluffton High School and served in the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church and American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton. He worked for the City of Bluffton for over 40 years, retiring as the superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. He was an avid bowler for 30 years and was a devoted Indianapolis Colts, IU baseball, and NASCAR fan. After his retirement, he enjoyed mowing the lawns of all of his neighbors. He will be remembered as someone who never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Kimberly Kay Mohler of Bluffton; son, William “Bill” Ray (Erica) Mohler of Duluth, Minnesota; dear friend to him and his family, Fred Schurr of Bluffton; and his two canine companions, Buddy and Caesar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Robert Mohler Jr. on May 25, 1965.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, June 25 at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Officiating will be Pastor Henry Schaadt. A private family burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.
