Amos A. Eicher, Jr., 71, of Bluffton, died at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 4766 W. 300 S-1 in Bluffton. He was born December 31, 1941 to Amos A. and Elizabeth E. (Schwartz) Eicher. He married Lizzie W. Schmucker on June 15, 1997.
He was a member of West Blue Creek Old Order Amish Church, and was a carpenter and pump repairer.
He is survived by two sons, Marvin A. (Margaret) Eicher of Bluffton, and William (MaryAnn) Eicher of Geneva; four daughters, Delila (Simon) Schwartz of Bluffton, and Mary (Benny) Girod, Lizzie (Reuben) Girod, and Fannie (Christ) Schwartz, all of Geneva; three brothers, Leroy A. Eicher of Berne, Harvey A. Eicher of Moorland, and Ben A. Eicher of Kentucky; three sisters, Salome Wengerd and Mary Christner of Berne, and Rosie Wickey of Millersburg; nine grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lovina E. (Girod) Eicher on June 30, 1995; two sisters, Delila and Emily; and one great-granddaughter, Mary Ann.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9 and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 10 at 4766 W. 300 S-1, Bluffton. Funeral service is at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 11 at 4766 W. 300 S-1, Bluffton with Eli A. Weaver officiating. Burial will take place at Schwartz Cemetery in Monroe.
