Joan Hodle, 86, of Decatur died on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Woodcrest Nursing Center in Decatur. She was born on September 20, 1926 in Wells County to Harold S. and Dorothy Elizabeth (Maddox) Nash, Sr. She was married on February 14, 1946 to Paul N. Hodle.
She is survived five sons, Gary (Linda) Hodle; and Roger (Donna) Hodle, both of Bluffton; Charles (Marcia) Hodle of Hartselle, Alabama; Brent Hodle of Decatur; and Scott (Tammy) Hodle of Geneva; daughter, Linda (Don) Fawcett; and brother, Wilmer (Alice) Nash of Bluffton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on November 13, 1991; brother, Harold Nash, Jr. and two sisters, Martha Salge; and Nellie Hower Butcher.
Visitation was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14 and one hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Monday, October 15 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home in Decatur. Officiating was Pastor Troy Green and Wes Kuntzman. Burial took place at Decatur Cemetery.
