Robert L. Beitler
Robert L. Beitler, 81, of Pendleton went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born on May 20, 1931 in Monroe to Harry and Margaret Beitler. He was married to Julia Liechty.
He graduated from Monroe High School in 1949. He resided most of his life in Pendleton and was a member of the Huntsville Community Church. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1990. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He owned several antique cars as well as enjoyed going to car shows. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, and socializing at The Diner in Pendleton.
He is survived by his wife; son, Richard A. (Gloria) Beitler of Springfield, Missouri; three daughters, Karen (Mitchell) Kuhns; and Amy Stults, both of Pendleton; and Lynda (Mr. Dana) Garrett of Indianapolis; two sisters, Pat (Harold) Arnold of Monroe; and Judy (Mike) Haney of Kendallville; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Dana Beitler.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14 at the Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 15 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Lance Stevens. Burial will be at the Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Military rites will be provided by the VFW, Post 266.
