Violet V. Ringenberg
Violet V. Ringenberg, 89, of Woodburn died on Monday, February 4, 2013 at her home where she was lovingly cared for by her family and the wonderful staff of Heartland Hospice. She was born in Adams County to Valentine and Ida Egly.
She was a member of Woodburn Missionary Church, Taylor University Fort Wayne Alumni Council, and the Woodburn Home Economics Club. She was a loving and dedicated pastor’s wife, who was always by her husband’s side.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gerald Ringenberg; two sons, Roger (Carol) Ringenberg; and Gary Ringenberg, both of Fort Wayne; daughter, Dorcas (Dave) McDeavitt of Woodburn; foster daughter, Yvonne (Randy) Nigh of Rushville; sister, Glenna (Milt) Wong of Fort Wayne; brother, Lester (Carole) Egly of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Egly; and two sisters, Chloetta Erdel; and Carolyn Nussbaum.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8 and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, February 9 at Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Rd., Woodburn. Officiating will be Pastor Joel DeSelm. Entombment will be at Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
